Final project
A series of lesson plans about digital marketing geared towards high schools students. The Internet has opened up new channels and methods for marketing to consumers. Although teenagers are typically savvy about advertising through more traditional media channels such as television and print, the current social media and Internet marketing practices are newer and so integrated into our online experience they may be less obvious (Snyder, Jevons, Henderson, Gabbott, & Beale, 2011). Knowledge of digital marketing practices provides exposure to possible career pathways and skills that are in high demand in the job market today. Constructivism, and work of Lev Vgotsky in particular, provides an ideal pedagogical framework for learning about marketing principles and practices by allowing students to apply concepts to real-world projects.
